Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Manali – Acclimatization Day ▼
Arrive in Manali, check-in, and relax to acclimatize to the altitude. Explore Mall Road, Hidimba Devi Temple, and local cafes. Overnight stay in Manali.
vDay 2: Manali to Kaza (via Kunzum Pass – 10-12 hours drive) ▼
Early morning drive to Kaza via Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass. Cross jaw-dropping landscapes, glaciers, and tiny Himalayan hamlets. Arrival in Kaza (main town of Spiti). Overnight stay at a guesthouse/hotel in Kaza.
Day 3: Kaza Local Sightseeing â–Ľ
Visit Key Monastery – the largest in Spiti. Explore Kibber Village (one of the highest inhabited villages). Visit Chicham Bridge – Asia’s highest bridge. Return to Kaza for overnight stay.
Day 4: Langza – Hikkim – Komic Exploration ▼
After breakfast, drive to Langza village (famous for its fossils and giant Buddha statue). Visit Hikkim (home to the world’s highest post office). Proceed to Komic (world’s highest motorable village). Overnight stay at Kaza or a village homestay.
Day 5: Kaza to Pin Valley â–Ľ
Drive to Pin Valley, known for its wildlife (snow leopards, Himalayan ibex) and picturesque scenery. Visit Mudh Village – the last village of Pin Valley. Spend the evening enjoying the valley's raw beauty. Overnight stay in a homestay or basic hotel in Pin Valley.
Day 6: Pin Valley to Tabo – Dhankar Monastery Visit ▼
After breakfast, drive to Langza village (famous for its fossils and giant Buddha statue). Visit Hikkim (home to the world’s highest post office). Proceed to Komic (world’s highest motorable village). Overnight stay at Kaza or a village homestay.
Day 6: Pin Valley to Tabo – Dhankar Monastery Visit ▼
AAfter breakfast, drive towards Tabo village. Visit the Tabo Monastery (over 1000 years old, a UNESCO Heritage nominee). Continue to Dhankar Monastery and Dhankar Lake (optional short hike). Overnight stay in Tabo or Dhankar.
Day 7: Tabo to Kalpa (via Nako and Kinnaur Valley)â–Ľ
Start early and drive towards Kalpa via Nako Lake and the beautiful Kinnaur Valley. Visit Nako Village and Monastery. Reach Kalpa, with stunning views of Kinner Kailash. Overnight stay in Kalpa. (Optional Day 8-9 if you want to extend to 10 Days) Spend an extra day relaxing in Kalpa and exploring nearby Roghi Village and Suicide Point. Alternatively, stay at Chitkul (the last village before the Indo-Tibet border) for a breathtaking experience.
Day 8/10: Departureâ–Ľ
Drive back to Shimla or Chandigarh for your onward journey. Trip ends with lifetime memories of Spiti’s untouched beauty..
